Yetis Move on to Final Four
|
Manny Prates said he expected the Elite Eight to be "a battle from start to finish."
In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Yonkers Yetis encountered little resistance in sweeping the Dallas Steers, to advance to the Final Four.
"It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Prates.
Yonkers won the final game by a 9-0 count and were led in the series by Prates, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .429 with 3 home runs. He also drove in 6 RBI and scored 6 runs.
The Yonkers Yetis don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Vista Panthers - Seattle Admirals series. Seattle leads the series 3 games to 0. The Final Four schedule will be announced after the Elite Eight finishes.
