Pak Blasts Baysox, Browns Take Game 5, 6-5
|
Already down in the Elite Eight, the St. Louis Browns put on their best show, beating the Charm City Baysox by a final score of 6-5 today. Chae-ho Pak was special. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. St. Louis now trails Charm City 3-2 in the best-of-7 affair.
Rob Slater was the walk-off hero for St. Louis. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Browns shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"The ending was a real humdinger," Slater told reporters after the game.
Game 6 is scheduled for Friday at Prince George's Stadium in Baltimore.
