84's Hammered by Hernández, Fall Further Behind in FF
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of right fielder Víctor Hernández, the St. Louis Browns got a road win against the Greenville 84's, 10-7, in Game 3 of the Final Four today. Hernández went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2 for the Browns, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0.
St. Louis used a clutch hit from Simon Ash to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Browns ahead, 9-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Hernández told the St. Louis Daily. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Michigan & Trumbull in Greenville.
