Dave Menke never let Maui get something going. The Cervezas de Miami left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Cervezas de Miami to a 6-0 win. Menke went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 10-8. At 71-53, the Cervezas de Miami have a slim two-game lead in the Water Division.
Dan Edwards dealt the Wave a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Cervezas de Miami leading 1-0, Edwards, who is tied for 7th in the BSA in bases on balls with 68, hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run single.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Menke, "and go after the next one."
