Calrissian Clip Gang Green, 3-2
|
The Orlando Calrissian had to overcome a fine performance from Irvine pitcher Tyson Patton to grab a 3-2 win at Mel Fields. Patton allowed 2 runs over 6.2 innings. Orlando, at 54-73, sits in 5th place in the Fire Division.
Víctor Marrero was the walk-off hero for Orlando. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Calrissian third baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Marrero said.
