Tsui Slugs Wave to 4-1 Win
|
The 4-1 Maui win over Cozumel was due largely to Yifu Tsui. The Wave third baseman slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Matt Reed was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 9 save opportunities. Maui is now 82-63.
Tsui had a timely hit for Maui in the top of the sixth. With Cozumel trailing 1-0, he turned a 3-0 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 51st home run of the season, making it 2-1, Maui.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Maui manager José Betancourt. "Our pregame was pretty good."
