Seals Get One-Run Win at Columbus
|
San Francisco Seals starter Enrique Macías turned in a top-notch performance against the Columbus Coalition at Agent 47 Field. The result was a win for the Seals, 3-2. Macías went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 14-7. Columbus has now lost 4 consecutive games.
The Seals got a lift from designated hitter Neal Bennett, who in the top of the first hit a 2-run home run. His 26th home run of the season put the Seals on top, 3-0.
Columbus manager Teruo Kouno said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
