Phoenix Starting Pitcher Out Friday, June 23rd , 2051 The Phoenix Firebirds were informed today by team doctors that starting pitcher Mike Gibson sustained a strained biceps in a recent game against the Charm City Baysox and will not play for 5 weeks. Gibson was hurt throwing a pitch. This year Gibson has worked 46 innings with 50 strikeouts en route to a 4-5 record and 5.09 ERA. |
