Lubbock's Deleón Will Miss Season Tuesday, June 27th , 2051 The Lubbock Green Sox and their fans were rocked today by the news that star center fielder José Deleón would miss the rest of the season due to injury. Deleón was hurt in a recent game against the Minnesota North Stars while running the bases. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was a torn posterior cruciate ligament. His doctors think that Deleón will miss about 9 months. Looking at his present stats, Deleón has compiled a .294 batting average in 50 games with a .366 on-base percentage, while hitting 9 home runs and driving in 30 runs. |
