Carlos Palmer Out of Lineup 3 Weeks Sunday, July 16th , 2051 Injuries are something every team has to deal with. That fact struck home for the Firebirds when after today's game against the Eagles, the club found out they would be without the services of Carlos Palmer for at least 3 weeks. After the game, his manager said of the incident, "You hate to lose anyone to injury. That's always a negative." Palmer was injured earlier today throwing a pitch and suffered rotator cuff tendinitis. To date this year, he has registered 2 saves, 2 wins and 5 losses with a 6.25 ERA. Palmer has made 33 relief appearances, worked a total of 31.2 innings and surrendered 38 hits. He has fanned 37, issued 20 free passes and held opposing clubs to a .299 batting average. |
