English Rockets 3 HR Against Kansas City
Wednesday, July 26th , 2051
Fort Worth Cougars third baseman Josh English had a magnificent game against the Kansas City Kings today, rocketing three balls out of Cougar Den to help the Cougars take the 9-3 victory.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, English went 3-for-4 with 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Fort Worth manager Bill Hansen said later. "Seems like Josh found his home run stroke today."
Josh English hit a two-run home run off Won-taek Han in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Won-taek Han in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Lonnie Jordan in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
This year English has 27 home runs and a .285 batting average.
