Cooke Strokes 6 Hits Tuesday, August 15th , 2051 A jubilant Larry Cooke joined the postgame press conference at Prohibition Brewing Co Stadium today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Vista Panthers pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Yonkers Yetis shortstop, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 6-for-7 hitting performance, which led the Yetis to a 18-1 win. "He made it look easy," said Pedro González, manager of the Panthers. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Larry Cooke hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
