St. Louis Shuts Out Charleston, 6-0 Tuesday, August 29th , 2051 In an outstanding mound performance, St. Louis Browns starter Ramón Longoria fired a complete-game shutout against the Charleston RubberDucks at Gateway Stadium today. Longoria was the key to the Browns's 6-0 win. The 25-year-old left-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 2 hits and 1 walk he allowed. "2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." This year Longoria has a 12-5 record with a 4.57 ERA in 27 starts.
