Browns Hurler Named BSA's Best Starter Friday, September 1st , 2051 Mark Barber of the Browns bewildered opposing batters in August and was honored as the Baseball Stars Association Pitcher of the Month earlier today. The St. Louis starter sparkled last month with a 5-0 record and 1.80 ERA. He made 6 starts, tossed 40 innings and had 29 strikeouts. To date this season Barber is 13-5 with 27 starts and an ERA of 4.48 with 140 strikeouts in 162.2 innings. |
