Díaz Voted August's Top BSA Rookie Friday, September 1st , 2051 Luis Díaz is living a dream. Not only did he net the Baseball Stars Association's Rookie of the Month Award today, but the 22-year-old has put together a string of starts that has everybody talking all the league. In the month of August the Cozumel starter was 3-0 as he put up a 1.72 ERA. He also totaled 18 strikeouts in 15.2 innings, while holding opponents to a .214 average. Pretty good stats for a rookie. Up to this point in the season, Díaz has put up these stats: 53 relief appearances, 35 saves, 62 IP, 82 strikeouts and 1.89 ERA. His won-lost record is 6-3 with the opposition is hitting .166 against him. |
