Turner Tags 3 HR Against Baysox Wednesday, September 13th , 2051 Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Will Turner can celebrate. The Irvine Gang Green left fielder powered three into the stands at Prince George's Stadium today against the Charm City Baysox. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Turner told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one." In all, he was 4-for-5 as the Gang Green toppled Charm City by a score of 8-5, knocking in 6 runs and scoring 3 times. "He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Irvine manager David Adams said. "He gets the ball up in the air." Will Turner hit a solo-shot off Ed Pritchard in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Ed Pritchard in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off José Ramírez in the 6th and struck out in the 9th. This year Turner is batting .325 with 39 home runs and 100 RBIs. In 127 games he has scored 84 times. |
