Gang Green Captures Wild Card Friday, September 29th , 2051 The Irvine Gang Green don't see themselves as underdogs or long shots to win the World Series. It may have been only a wild card berth the team was celebrating, as opposed to an Heart Division crown, but that didn't damper the optimism. "I think we're one of the best teams in this league and when it counts, I know we can be the best," said reliever Rich Cervantes. "No one is going to remember the team that had the best regular season record. They are going to remember the World Series champions and we believe that's going to be us." The Gang Green have a 88-71 record and will be looking to win the 4th World Series in team history. |
