Roy Morton Sidelined for Season Sunday, October 1st , 2051 Roy Morton will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Yonkers shortstop could miss the remainder of the year. Morton was injured while running the bases in the Yetis-Coalition clash at The Ballpark at Sloss Furnace recently. Doctors said he has a torn anterior cruciate ligament and would be out a minimum of 7 months. This year Morton has collected a .286 batting average to date with 73 hits in 255 at-bats, 12 RBIs, 2 home runs and scored 36 times. He has played in 75 games. |
