Hit Streak Now at 20 for Pérez Saturday, July 22nd , 2051 Bo Pérez ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Paradise Park, when he collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Minnesota North Stars dropped the game, 7-4, to the West Virginia Power. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Pérez said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Bo Pérez hit a solo-shot off Máximo Cuevas in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. Pérez has a .288 average and a .320 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 114 hits, 20 home runs and driven in 50 runs. |
