Hitting Streak Still Alive for Moran Saturday, July 22nd , 2051 Chalk up another one for Minnesota North Stars left fielder Brian Moran. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Moran went 1-for-5 today's game at Paradise Park but saw his club defeated 7-4 by the host West Virginia Power. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," North Stars manager Alonso MartÃnez said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Brian Moran flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. So far this season Moran has hit .283 with 28 home runs, 82 RBIs and scored 66 times. |
