Fernández Slams 5 Hits for State College Sunday, September 3rd , 2051 State College Spikes center fielder Jaime Fernández really lit up the Evanston Elitists with a 5-hit barrage today at Dirty South Park -- a performance that sparked the Spikes to a 20-12 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game, saying "sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." Jaime Fernández hit a solo-shot off Mark Slocock in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Richard Knight in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
