Mike Bryant League Crowns Rancho Cucamonga's O'Neil Friday, October 6th , 2051 Mike Bryant League hitters didn't have much of a chance in the 2051 season when the Rancho Cucamonga manager wrote "Emmitt O'Neil" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, he held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 12-7 mark and 2.63 ERA in 28 starts, tossed 167.2 innings, fanned 168 and held opposing teams to a .187 average. For his superb season O'Neil was today named the MBL Pitcher of the Year Award winner. He received 22 first place votes out of a possible 28. Ikemoto Hasegawa of the Birmingham Bulls finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Cristián Márquez of the Santa Anna Dukes finished third with 2 first place votes.
