Hits Galore: Mullen Drills 5 Hits
It was a hits blitz for Bob Mullen at Headhunters Ballpark.

The Watertown Headhunters right fielder tore into the Logan Swans for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Swans swept past the Headhunters, 14-8, to ruin Mullen's day.

"We weren't locating our pitches well," Watertown manager Charles Walters explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Bob was nice but it wasn't enough."

Bob Mullen hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.


Mullen has collected 58 hits for the Headhunters this year, 10 of them home runs. He has also netted 29 RBIs and scored 40 runs while batting .362.
