Vigier Slams 5 Hits for Kingston
Even as a kid, Gary Vigier said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Voodoo Ballpark, Vigier showed how well he learned that lesson.

The 19-year-old first baseman had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Kingston Knights, helping his team knock off the Scottsdale Jackies by a score of 12-11.

"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did."

Gary Vigier tripled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Keith Adams in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

This year, Vigier is batting .330 with 73 hits, 26 home runs, 73 RBIs, 42 walks, .439 OBP and has scored 63 runs.
