Tarrill Slams 3 Deep for Chapel Hill Sunday, June 14th , 2054 Chris Tarrill went yard three times in a Chapel Hill Sharks victory over the Detroit X-Wings at Sharks Stadium. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Chapel Hill center fielder went 3-for-3 against Detroit with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Sharks to the 11-3 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Chris Tarrill hit a GRAND SLAM off Colton Bullard in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Itbir Mbingu in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Itbir Mbingu in the 7th. On the year, Tarrill has hit .372 with 16 home runs, 31 RBIs and scored 32 runs. |
