Archdukes Flame Out Against Riggs, Barons Saturday, July 10th , 2055 The Amarillo Archdukes ran into a buzzsaw at Missions Ballpark, as Richardson Barons starter Gerald Riggs cut them down to size, 5-0, tossing a 1-hit shutout. "That's one thing that has never changed in this game -- pitching can control hitting," Barons manager José MartÃnez told reporters after the game. "Gerald knows exactly what he's doing. He's not going to throw you a good pitch until you make him throw one." In the complete game win, the Richardson hurler doled out no walks and registered 9 strikeouts.
