Roberts Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Thursday, July 22nd , 2055 Martin Roberts of the Antelope Hookslides went on a hitting spree against the Mile High Broncos pitching staff, racking up 5 hits in 8 at-bats, but to no avail -- the Broncos put a damper on his day and prevailed, 11-8, over the Hookslides. "It was a heck of a day and I was kind of looking forward to a better ending than that," he said later. Martin Roberts struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Porter Burns in the 8th, flied out in the 9th, singled in the 12th and grounded out in the 14th.
