McLaughlin Pitches Bulldogs to 5-0 Win Friday, May 7th , 2055 In an outstanding mound performance, Butler Bulldogs starter Michael McLaughlin fired a complete-game shutout against the Oregon Ducks at PK Park. McLaughlin was the key to the 5-0 Butler win. The 19-year-old left-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 8 hits and 1 walk he allowed. "8 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout." This season, McLaughlin has compiled a 4-1 mark with a 2.08 ERA in 8 starts.
