Nittany Lions Move on to National Championship Friday, June 4th , 2055 The Penn State Nittany Lions outclassed the Iowa Hawkeyes in all facets of the game throughout the NCAA Final Four. The end result was a Penn State series sweep to advance to the National Championship, capped off by a 6-4 win in the final game. "We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said first baseman Juan Velásquez, who hit .375 in the series. Velásquez's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .500 on-base percentage and had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 2 runs. The National Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Final Four finishes.
