Dick Miller Drills 3 HR in One Game
Sunday, April 11th , 2055
Madawaska Valley HS Wolves right fielder Dick Miller had a magnificent game against the Oliver Ames HS Tigers, rocketing three balls out of Maniacs Ballpark to help the Wolves win, 18-3.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Miller went 3-for-5 with 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Madawaska Valley HS manager Bill Becker said later. "Seems like Dick found his home run stroke today."
Dick Miller hit a three-run home run off Dave Johnson in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Hollis Becker in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Loren Munday in the 5th, walked in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
Miller is currently batting .397 with 5 home runs and 18 RBIs.
