Bell Rips St. Paul for 5 Hits
Tuesday, August 24th , 2055
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Orkney's 17-1 win over St. Paul, left fielder Roger Bell was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Overlords Ballpark.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Bell said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Roger Bell hit a solo-shot off Thomas Fleming in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Jorge Mejía in the 9th.
Bell is batting .412 this year with 9 home runs, 19 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 21 hits in 51 at-bats.
