The Grand Canyon second baseman easily handled the Javelinas pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Grand Canyon Antelopes came out on the short end of the 11-5 score. Downs told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."
