D-Bags Edge G-Strings, 3-2
|
Jersey Shore picked up a win at Revolutionary Park, toppling the Nashville G-Strings, 3-2. Pitcher Leroy Page was one of the reasons the D-Bags triumphed. Ernest Gardner nailed down his 15th save. Jersey Shore now sits at 39-43, while Nashville falls to 36-46.
Had Juan Zambrano not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Zambrano hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the D-Bags.
Page told a Jersey Shore Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
