Laslett Hits 2 home runs in Wave Win
|
Behind the hitting of Homer Laslett, the Maui Wave stopped the Minnesota North Stars, 3-2. Laslett slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Wave. Nathan Dailey earned the win for Maui. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 3-3. The North Stars, now 51-40, have lost 4 straight.
Laslett contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Maui in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Laslett took a curveball from Cipriano Borges and stroked the home run to left-center. His 20th home run of the season allowed the Wave to leap in front, 3-2.
