St. Louis Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
The St. Louis Browns nearly wasted a strong game from starter Armando Trejo, but were saved by some timely hitting in a walk-off win over the Houston Eagles today.

Trejo was exceptional in the 2-1 win at Gateway Stadium. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 runs. The win allowed St. Louis to cut the Houston lead in the best-of-5 series to 1-2.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when St. Louis third baseman Matt Lehman, facing Joaquín Camacho, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Browns the 2-1 win.

Lehman told a St. Louis Observer reporter he was "pleased as punch" with the win.

Game 4 is scheduled for Saturday at Gateway Stadium in St. Louis.
