New York right-hander Theron Koch pitched his team to victory over the Lubbock Green Sox at Greener Pastures. The final score was 4-2. Koch, now 1-1, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 6, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs. Dylan Newell closed the door for New York, picking up his 3rd save of the year.

It could have been a different outcome for New York, had it not been for Ángel Santos, the 23-year old catcher . Santos contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put New York up, 3-1.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Koch told the New York Daily. "But we take nothing for granted."

The Green Sox fall to 4-7 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2051 season.
