The Maui Wave got a superb performance from pitcher Wilbur Miles, but the Yonkers Yetis still won the game, 3-2. Miles threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Yonkers reliever Luis Álvarez picked up the win, raising his record to 2-3. Matt Reed was tagged with the loss. With the win, Yonkers pushed its record to 60-54.
Yonkers took a 3-2 lead on Brendan Robertson's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Maui pitcher Matt Reed in the bottom of the eighth.
"Enjoyed this one," Robertson told the Yonkers Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
