Admirals Snatch Late Win
|
Seattle Admirals starter Victor Panzini kept the New York Knights hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Seattle reliever Curtis Ouellet picked up the win to move to 3-1. Jorge Rivera suffered the loss. Jorge Gonzáles finished the game for Seattle and earned his 15th save.
Seattle relied on the hitting of Francisco Delgado to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Admirals on top, 3-2. For the game, Delgado had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Panzini told the Seattle Herald.
Seattle is now 98-42, 23½ games up in the Earth Division.
