It was a sensational day at the plate for David Miller as he led the charge to a 7-5 win over the Vipers. The Mile High second baseman was pure misery for the Vancouver pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Miller put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Yong-hoon Park, manager for the Vipers, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
David Miller hit a solo-shot off Kenny Walters in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
For the season Miller is batting .339 with 59 hits and 16 home runs. He has scored 37 times and batted in 32.
