Admirals Eke Out 4-3 Win Versus Minnesota
|
The Seattle Admirals topped the Minnesota North Stars, 4-3, in Baseball Stars Association action at The Ship Yard. The standout performance belonged to Seattle pitcher and Montmélian, France, native Alain Valette. Valette, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. Manuel Santos sewed up the save, his 5th.
Seattle grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Pablo Torres delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Admirals.
"It's a mindset," said Valette. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
