Charleston RubberDucks starter Keith McMillian turned in a top-notch performance against the Maui Wave at Charleston Ballpark. The result was a win for the RubberDucks, 4-2. The winner in relief was Pete Brown. He is now 3-0. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. The Wave drop to 10-16.

Jon Benjamin went 1-2 with a hit by pitch for Charleston. The 19-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Matt Reed. It was his 24th RBI of the season.

"Bottom line," said Maui skipper José Betancourt, "we didn't play well enough to win."
