Morrison Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Millbrae second baseman Paul Morrison had a fantastic day at the plate at Halesite Grounds, knocking out 5 hits and pacing his club to a win, 18-8.

"It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Morrison said after his 5-for-6 performance against the Silver Sox. "No offense meant to Reno, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid park, it was Halesite Grounds."

After the game, his manager elaborated on the second baseman's improvements, saying Morrison spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball.

"That's what I'm trying to do," Morrison said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."

Paul Morrison singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

So far this season, Morrison is batting .373 with 2 home runs.
