Díaz Smacks 4 Homers Against West Virginia
In what will surely go down as one of the greatest losing performances in league history, Roberto Díaz of the Glace Bay Miners hit 4 home runs yet saw his club defeated by the West Virginia Power.

Díaz ravaged West Virginia pitching for a once-in-a-lifetime effort that somehow still wasn't enough to win the game. The Power were victorious, 19-14.

"How do you get 4 home runs in one game and lose it?" he said after the game. "Honestly, I'm in a daze."

In the game, he went 4-for-5 with 4 runs scored and 9 RBIs.

"What he did was unbelievable," said West Virginia manager Ángelo Ávila. "My guys gave it their best, but he hit some fine pitches. He was like -- he was in an automatic home run mode today. He just had that great swing. It didn't matter what we threw him. It was gone."

Roberto Díaz hit a solo-shot off Weldon Taylor in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Steven Brown in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Manuel Merga in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Pablo Moreno in the 9th.

Díaz on the season is batting .254 with 9 home runs. His totals include 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has played in 42 games.
