James Hits 2 home runs in G-Strings Win
Behind the bravura of designated hitter Jared James, the Nashville G-Strings topped the Long Island Ducks by the score of 10-4. James went 3-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6 for the G-Strings. Bartolo Bojórquez got the win, improving to 3-2. He worked 8 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The defeat makes Long Island 28-15.

The Ducks had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the G-Strings going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old shortstop Joseph MacDonald came to the plate. MacDonald hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 curveball from Long Island hurler Emerson Davis. It was MacDonald's 6th double of the year.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said James. "You've got to get results."
