The Maui Wave got a stellar performance from pitcher Dennis McKillop, who handcuffed the Manchester offense en route to a win, 5-2, at The Fox Den. McKillop went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-3. The Wave now have a record of 23-21 with the win over Manchester.
Maui used the bat of Yifu Tsui to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wave ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Tsui attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
