Wave Walk It Off for 36th Win of Season
|
The Maui Wave finished things off in style.
Behind a fine performance from Homer Laslett, the Maui Wave knocked off the Kansas City Kings, 6-3. Laslett was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for the Wave. Maui has now won 4 straight.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Laslett hit a fastball from Lawrence Duke for a 3-run home run. The Wave, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Laslett. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
