Fans at Tilley Field witnessed the San Diego Smashers blank the Frisco Rough Riders, 11-0 behind a superb effort by starter William Wilson. The San Diego right-hander allowed 3 hits in recording the shutout.

"William was good today but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," San Diego manager said later. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."
