Rebels Win, 4-2, at Vista
|
Though he had a great game, Jerry Shahan could not single-handedly produce a win for Vista. Boston won the game, 4-2. Shahan went 4 for 4 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs. James Horton was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 17 save opportunities. Boston, now 31-39, holds down 6th place in the Heart Division.
Boston relied on the bat of Jorge Cuellar to get the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rebels ahead, 3-2. For the game, Cuellar had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"It was a good effort all around," said Cuellar.
