CL's Top Player Named Monday, May 16th, 2039 At the age of 27, Gerardo Castillo might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Cervezas de Miami second baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .455 batting average. For his efforts Castillo collected the Continental League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 10 hits in 22 at-bats, 3 home runs and 13 RBIs last week in 6 games. For the year Castillo is batting .350 with 16 home runs, 42 RBIs and 37 runs scored. |
