Greenville No Match for Leyva Thursday, June 21st, 2035 Chicago Machine fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as José Leyva blanked the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, 7-0 at Old Comiskey Park today. Leyva stopped them on 5 hits while walking 0 and striking out 6. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Machine skipper Vince Mills said. "He was on top of his game in this one." So far this year Leyva has made 15 starts, tossed 98 innings, struck out 63 batters and walked 37. His record is 5-5 with a 2.57 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .240 batting average.
